Shiladitya Bora

Shiladitya Bora is an Indian film producer and distributor. He is the founder of Platoon One Films, a Mumbai-based film production studio.[1][2] He is a Berlinale Talents [3] alumnus.

Early life and education

Shiladitya did his schooling in Assam and then his Bachelor's in Engineering (BE) from L.D.College of Engineering Ahmedabad in 2005. He enrolled into Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad for Post Graduate programme in Communication Management and Entrepreneurship and was awarded the MICA Award for Creative and Entrepreneurial Excellence in 2008.[4]

Career

Prior to starting Platoon One Films, Shiladitya was the CEO at Drishyam Films. At Drishyam Films he served as the Associate Producer of multiple acclaimed movies, such as Masaan, Waiting and Newton. Newton went on to selected as India's official entry into the Academy Awards 2018.[5] He was also the Executive Producer on the National Film Award winner Dhanak directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.[6]

Bora was also the man behind PVR Pictures's Directors Rare.[7] [8]

The first film produced under the Platoon One films is Yours Truly.[9][10] He also produced the Marathi film Picasso, starring National Film Award winner Prasad Oak.[11]
