Shehab Khan

Shehab Khan is a British journalist currently working for ITV News as a political reporter. He frequently appears on the news bulletins providing reports on key political stories.

Career

Khan began his journalism career writing for The Independent in 2015, where he broke several stories and reported on Brexit from the European Parliament.[1]

In 2017 he won Outstanding Young Journalist of the Year at the Asian Media Awards.[2] The following year he was shortlisted for Rising Star at the British Media Awards, Outstanding Young Journalist at the GG2 Awards and Best Investigation at the Asian Media Awards.[3][4]

In 2019 he was nominated for the Reporting Diversity Award at the British Press Awards for his work covering allegations of Islamophobia in the Conservative Party.[5]

Later that year Khan joined the ITV News politics team in Westminster, and regularly appears on the national news bulletins, in and out of the studio and is often seen reporting from the steps of 10 Downing Street.[6][7]

Khan also currently co-hosts the Calling Peston podcast with Robert Peston and Daniel Hewitt.[8]

In 2020, after a landmark investigation, Khan broke a story about the racism that black, Asian and ethnic minority MPs had experienced in Westminster.[9]
