Sharikat Naft Al-Basra
Sharikat Naft Al-Basra (Arabic: فريق شركة نفط البصرة, lit. 'Basra Oil Company'), was an Iraqi football team based in Basra. They became Iraq's first ever official national champions when they won the 1949 Iraq FA Championship that was played between teams from across the country.[1] They competed regularly in the Iraq FA Basra League, a regional league for teams in Basra, finishing third in the 1962–63 season.
