Seven Set Higher Secondary School, Shillong

Seven Set Higher Secondary School (simply Seven Set School) is a premier co-educational school in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Situated at the foot hills of Malki township, the school offers educational teachings from Nursery A level up to Class XII level which includes courses in Science, Commerce and Arts. The school is affiliated to the Meghalaya Board of School Education.[1]

History

The school was established in 1967 at Upper Malki with just nine little pupils in the nursery level. The school was then shifted to its present location in May 1974. From then on one new class was introduced every two or three years. Finally in 1987 the school was upgraded to the tenth class with a first batch appearing in the HSLC Examination. In 1998 the Higher Secondary Section was opened with the introduction of class XI Arts followed by class XII Arts in the year 1999 and in 2006 Science and Commerce streams were also introduced. The school from its infancy was pioneered and headed by Mrs. K.B. Warjri who serves as the Principal till this day.

The current Vice Principal of the school (High School Section) is Dr. Geddelia Nongbri, who is the daughter of Mrs. KB Warjri.

Boarders

The school provides boarding facilities for girls in all classes and for boys up to the tenth standard.
