In Akkadian records, the name (referring to Ramesses II) is rendered in cuneiform script as šá-te-ep-na-ri/e-a.[1] According to the Egyptologist Dr. Loprieno the word was likely pronounced /satʰepʰna'riːʕa/.[2]
