Sergey Kud-Sverchkov

Sergey Vladimirvich Kud-Sverchkov Is a Kazakh-Russian engineer and cosmonaut selected in 2010.[1]

Early life and education

Kud-Sverchkov was born on 23 August 1983 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic. In 2006, he graduated with honours from Moscow State Technical University with a degree specialising in rocket engineering.[2]

Career

Kud-Sverchkov worked as an engineer at RSC Energia from August 2006 until being selected to become a cosmonaut in April 2010.

Cosmonaut career

Following his selection, Kud-Sverchkov began approximately two years of training which he graduated from in August 2012, becoming available for assignment to a long-duration flight to the International Space Station (ISS).

Expedition 63/64

As of May 2020, he is assigned to ISS Expedition 63/64 as a flight engineer. He is scheduled to launch aboard Soyuz MS-17 in late 2020 alongside Russian cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov and NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins.[3]
