Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University

This educational-research complex was established in 1974 as a nonprofit educational unit for the purpose of creating agricultural education courses called the Higher Agricultural Engineering School. The fields that were initially welcomed by the student were general agricultural, forestry, rangeland and animal husbandry. In 1979, this center of higher education, along with several other centers, provided the foundation for the establishment of the University of Mazandaran to the city center of Babolsar. After upgrading the facilities and capabilities of an educational institution, from the end of 1997 two colleges of agricultural sciences and natural resources were granted a single license, and from the academic year of 1997-1998, they officially began their training activities. According to the ranking of Iranian Universities, this public university is among top three specified-agricultural and natural resources universities (Ranked 36 in all universities) in Iran (https://www.uniref.ir/Ranking1-1397).
