Sangharsha (1995 film)

A village is ruled by two powerful personalities. One of them is a politician and the other one is a doctor. Both of them have a group of hooligans whom they utilise for their own benefit. The leader of the group that gets influenced by Dipak Dutta is Bhambol. At the same time doctor Samanta influenced his group whose leader is Rana. In Spite of being the son of a school teacher he is unemployed. When he asked doctor Samanta for a job the corrupt doctor starts exploiting Rana's potential by engaging him in all possible anti social activities. Likewise, MLA Dipak Dutta utilises young Bhambol for the sake of his own power and position .On the basis of these two power seeking influential personalities and their domain the entire village is divided into two territories. One portion is known as Uttarpradesh and the other one is Dahhhinpare. Suvankar, an efficient doctor, comes to this village along with his sister Roma .Dr Suvankar who is honest starts raising his voice against all kinds of local corruption. He fights with Bhombol and his companion to save a pregnant lady and her child. He took the lady along with her father with his own car though Bhambol with his group plan to kidnap his sister to take his revenge as suvankar refuses to give the amount they ask for. But his heart gets transformed when dr takes the responsibility to operate Bhambol's mothers heart without any expense. While collecting funds Rana tortures a widow tailor to make her bound to give 500 rs .as a witness. To take tough action against Rana Roma reports the incident to police but police officer disappoints Roma . Instead of taking any action against Rana the inspector who gets regular bribe from Dr Samanta fails to give a lesson to bold and vocal Rana. Rana instructs to cut Roma's hair in public. Suvankar recognises Rana's father as their childhood teacher and gives him basic treatment for his wounds. When the incident gets narrated to Rana he also becomes ashamed for cutting Roma's hair and asks for apology from Suvankar and Roma. A child whose widow mother commits suicide to protect her own dignity the child now used to look for her mother all the time g dies because of them again. Though Dr Samanta plans to kill Bhombols mother to accuse Suvankar but Samanta's bold daughter for killing a widow whom Dipak tried to molest. But the fact that Dipak is the culprit and Bhambol only the victim gets proved in the court with the help of few photographs. Dipak's son Rohit and Samanta's daughter Soma, they are in love with each other and raise their truthful voices against their father's corruption. Samanta makes a confession in court regarding the conspiracy he made with MLA to kill Bhombol's mother. Dipak Dutta and Dr Samanta gets imprisoned for five years.
