Sandeep Mehta

Sandeep Mehta (born 16 october,1967) is an Indian professional actor. He has worked for theatre, television and feature films. He is known for playing the role of Raj Shekhar Singhania for more than 9 years in one of the longest Indian daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.[1]

Early life

Sandeep Mehta was born in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where he completed his schooling and junior college. During his schooling and junior college days, he performed in many renowned One Act Competitions. He has also participated in Maharashtra State Government Drama Competitions. He pursued his graduation in the stream of Commerce from Symbiosis International University, Pune. He started working as a professional actor while pursuing his graduation.

Career

Sandeep Mehta started his acting career with Marathi professional plays. He has worked in 15 professional Marathi plays with a total of around 1200 shows. He has also worked in 11 Gujarati plays with a total of around 1000 shows.

He has worked in 10 -12 commercial advertisements.

Television

He has worked in 6-8 Hindi Television Serials with major character roles in it, including the role of Narada in Om Namah Shivay and the role of Raj Shekar Singhania (Naitik's father) in Star Plus's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai from 2009-2018.[2][3] He played the role of Dr. Gopal Patwardhan(CMO) in season 2 of Lakhon mein Ek on Amazon Prime.
