SaeHan Information Systems

SaeHan Information Systems (Korean: 새한 정보 시스템) is a South Korean information systems company based in Yeouido, Seoul. The company started out as a small subsidiary of Jaeil Textiles(Korean: 제일합섬) in January 1973. SaeHan Information Systems is credited with the development of the world's first MP3 player.[1]

  • 1982 Saehan Media computing division launched
  • 1982 separated from Samsung Group computing division. Founded Jaeil Textiles KyungSan Factory (IBM-4341)
  • 1991 consolidated to Samsung SDS
  • 1997 group Separated. Separated from Samsung SDS and Founded SaeHan Information Systems
  • 1997 first MP3 Player development in the world (CeBit H/W award)
  • 2008 Incorporation – Woongjin Group
  • 2010 Incorporation – GS Group
  • 2012 Changed Company name as TAK Information Systems
