Sōemonchō
Sōemonchō (宗右衛門町) is a district in the Chūō-ku ward of Osaka, Japan. The area is neighbouring to Shinsaibashi in the north and to Dōtonbori Canal in the south. It is one of the major entertainment districts of Chūō-ku and facilitates a high concentration of bars, restaurants and nightclubs.[2]

In popular culture
Sōemonchō is mentioned in a song called Sōemonchō Blues (宗右衛門町ブルース) by Katsuji Heiwa and Dark Horse, which was released in 1972 and became a major hit in Japan, selling two million copies.[2]
