Ryutaro Araga

Ryutaro Araga (born 16 October 1990)[1] is a Japanese karateka. At the Asian Games he won the gold medal in the men's kumite 84 kg event both in 2014 and in 2018.[1] He is scheduled to represent Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.[2][3]

At the Asian Karate Championships he won the gold medal in 2013, 2015 and 2018.[4][5] In 2019, he won one of the bronze medals at this event.[6][7]

At the 2016 World Karate Championships held in Linz, Austria he won the silver medal in the men's team kumite event.[8][9]

In 2017, he won the silver medal in the men's kumite 84 kg event at the 2017 World Games in Wrocław, Poland.[10]
