History

The collection was initially established by combining the museums of the Royal Corps of Transport and of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps shortly after the Royal Logistic Corps was formed in 1993, although the collection was increased to include objects and archive from all of its forming and predecessor Corps.[1]

Collections

The collection includes Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery's 1939 Rolls-Royce Wraith, a Royal Waggon Train sabretache and various medal displays.[1] The archive incorporates three key collections: the Board of Ordnance Letter Books dating from the nineteenth century, the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) Post-war Write Ups, detailing the Corps’ Second World War history and the Military Vehicle Records, detailing all registrations and histories of (former) military vehicles.[2]
