Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove (born 1958 in Cardiff, Wales) is a Welsh artist and industrial designer.[1][2]

Biography

Ross Lovegrove was born in Wales in 1958. In 1980 he graduated from the Royal College of Art in London with a master's degree in Industrial Design, showing seminal works; Kodak Digital Camera and Equestrian Chaise longue.

In April 2017 a major exhibition of his work entitled CONVERGENCE was featured at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.[3][4]

Personal life

Ross Lovegrove was raised in Penarth by parents who were first cousins and who both hold the name Lovegrove.

He is married to architect Miska Miller-Lovegrove.

Awards

  • Curated the first permanent collection. The same year, he was awarded the Red dot design award[5] for the products created for VitrA[6]
