History

Founded in 1915 as Odiongan Farm School (OFS), it was one of the oldest learning institutions in the Southern Tagalog region of the Philippines. The Southern Tagalog region was eliminated upon the issuance of Executive Order No. 103, dated May 17, 2002, by then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, with its constituent provinces being reallocated to other regions.[3] The university initially offered intermediate course in Agriculture, where emphasis was laid in the fundamental agricultural practices.

After five years of existence, the Odiongan Farm School was converted into Odiongan Rural High School, and offered complete secondary training courses headed by a Principal, under the supervision of the Division Superintendent of Schools, Division of Romblon. This curriculum was in force until 1946. In 1947, Odiongan Rural High School was changed to Odiongan High School. A general type A curriculum was then offered.
