Roel Boomstra

Roel Boomstra (born 9 March 1993) is a Dutch draughts player and a former world champion, having won the 2018 World Draughts Championship match. He also won the 2016 World Draughts Championship match. He ranked third at the 2013 World Draughts Championship in Ufa.[1] In 2014 Roel Boomstra won the Draughts European Championship. He also won the Dutch championship twice (2012, 2015). Boomstra holds the title of International Grandmaster. He was born in Utrecht.[2]
