In 2009, Rick was cast to play Marat Balagula, a Russian Jewish immigrant, former mob boss, and associate of the Lucchese crime family on the documentary TV series Underworld Histories, Season #3, episode #2, "Brooklyn." Underworld Histories is a one-hour documentary series that explores the interaction between a city's social history and its organized crime. It aired on the History Channel and National Geographic International.[4]

In 2010, Rick was cast in the role of the detective in the film Zombie Beach, produced by Canadian-based Asopa Films Incorporation, Twinkle Productions and Asopa Films International. The film went on to win awards at various film festivals around the world, including 'Award of Excellence – Feature Competition' at the Canada International Film Festival in Vancouver, Canada,[5] 'Golden Palm Award – Feature Competition' at the Mexico International Film Festival,[6] and the 'Silver Ace Award – Feature' at the Las Vegas Film Festival.[7]

Also in 2010, Rick was cast in the role of 1920s New York City radio broadcaster in the feature film Burning Daylight, starring Robert Knepper and produced by Sanzhar Sultanov of Reverson Entertainment. Sultanov based the screenplay on three Jack London stories,[8] and the film was set in 1920s New York.[9] The film premiered in Sonoma, California[10] (Jack London's hometown) and in New York City's Webster Hall.[11] It also received a wide theatrical release in Kazakhstan[12] and was highly acclaimed by many critics.[13][14][15]

Rick was cast as a sentry named Ben Craven in the Thriller The Collapsed, produced by Justin McConnell of Unstable Grounds, Inc. This film is about a family of four fighting to survive in the wake of the end of the world, who discover that the other survivors are the least of their worries. The film had a successful run in the festival circuit, winning a number of awards along the way, including 2011 winner at the Crypticon Film Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 2011 winner at the Metropolitan Film Festival in New York City, and 2011 winner at the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival.[16]

Rick was then featured as a 1960s Chicago gangster, (Sam Giancana's goon), in the Emmy Award-winning TV series The Kennedys, directed by Jon Cassar, on episode four of, "Bobby's War."[17]

In 2012 Rick starred as Police Chief Cordell in the action/comedy Bio Cop, a film about a mutated cop who cannot die and struggles to stop the latest designer drug, produced by Steven Kostanski of ASTRON-6. It was screened at various film festivals, including the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, and in 2013 won Best Short Film at the Boston Underground Film Festival.

Also in 2012, he was cast to play an ex-cop named Robert in the action/fantasy short The Flying Man, produced by Marcus Alqueres. The film is about a super powered vigilante who defies the law using extreme violence to fight crime. In 2013 it was selected at the Sunscreen Film Festival in Florida, a festival supported by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.[18] It was also nominated for best film in 2013 at the Sitges - Catalan International Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.

Cordeiro also makes an appearance in the M83 music video, "Do It, Try It." The video was released on August 13, 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The video was written and directed by Grammy Award nominated director David Wilson.
