Ricardo Lucas Ramos (born August 1, 1995) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early career

Ramos made his professional MMA debut in 2012. For the first two years of his career he fought exclusively in his native Brazil and amassed a record of 6 wins and no losses. He made his North American debut in 2015, fighting three times for Legacy FC before it re-branded to Legacy Fighting Alliance. Before joining the UFC, he had a record of 9 wins and 1 loss; all but one of his wins came via stoppage before the final bell.

Ramos was featured on Dana White's Lookin' for a Fight reality show when he submitted Alfred Khashakyan to earn himself a UFC contract.[1]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Ramos made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 104 against Michinori Tanaka.[2] Ramos won via unanimous decision.[3]

Ramos returned at UFC 217 taking on Aiemann Zahabi.[4] Ramos won via knockout in the third round.[5] He was awarded his first Performance of the Night bonus.[6]

Ramos faced Kyung Ho Kang on August 4, 2018 at UFC 227.[7] He won the fight by split decision.[8]

Ramos was expected to face Ricky Simon on November 10, 2018 at UFC Fight Night 139.[9] However, it was reported on October 16, 2018 that Ramos was pulled from the bout due to hand injury.[10]

Ramos faced Said Nurmagomedov on February 2, 2019 at UFC Fight Night 144.[11] He lost the fight by TKO in the first round.[12]

Ramos was expected to face Sergio Pettis on June 29, 2019 at UFC on ESPN 3.[13] However, on June 15, 2019 it was reported that Pettis pulled out of the bout citing injury,[14] and he was replaced by newcomer Journey Newson.[15] He won the fight via unanimous decision.[16]

Ramos faced Luiz Eduardo Garagorri in a featherweight bout on November 16, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 22.[17] He won the fight via a rear-naked choke in round one.[18] This win earned him the Performance of the Night award.[19]

Ramos is expected to face Lerone Murphy on July 15, 2020 at UFC Fight Night 172.[20]
