Ravi Yadav

Ravi Yadav is an Indian cinematographer known for his works with directors Abbas Mastan and R.K.Selvamani in the Hindi and Tamil film industry respectively. He started doing cinematography for Films, even before completing his Diploma in Cinematography from MGR Film Institute, Chennai. He started shooting Tamil feature films with his batch mates and friends. Ravi did his debut film independently, without assisting any film maker or cinematographer. He also produced two Tamil films and later moved into Bollywood. His collaboration with Bollywood director duo Abbas and Mustan Burmawalla brought out notable Hindi films like Humraaz, Taarzan, Aitraaz, 36 China Town, Naqaab, Race 1, Players, Race 2.

Ravi Yadav has directed a Telugu-language film Maro Charitra, which was an adaptation of the 1978 film of the same name. The film was produced by Dil Raju. The story was written by K. Bala Chandar with dialogue by Umarji Anuradha. Yadav also worked as the cinematographer on the film.

As producer

Kuttrapathirikai (In English: Charge Sheet) is a 2007 Tamil-language drama film directed by R. K. Selvamani and produced by Ravi Yadav's Yadavalaya Films. The film starred Ramki and Rahman, alongside Ramya Krishnan and Roja. The film was scored by Ilaiyaraaja and has late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassination and the Sri Lankan civil war as its backdrop. The film began in 1991 and was stuck for thirteen years as the censor board refused to allow such a film with a drastic political message to be released, and the film was finally released in March 2007 with several cuts.
