Rana Abdul Rauf

Rana Abdul Rauf is a Pakistani politician who had been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from 2008 to May 2018.

Early life

He was born on 11 March 1953.[1]

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) from Constituency PP-279 (Bahawalnagar-III) in 2008 Pakistani general election.[2]

He was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N from Constituency PP-279 (Bahawalnagar-III) in 2013 Pakistani general election.[3][4]

He was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N from Constituency PP-239 (Bahawalnagar-III) in 2018 Pakistani general election.[5]

Fake Degree Case

On 13 December 2019. Rana Abdul Rauf's BA degree was decided after 11 years. Balochistan University Quetta canceled the degree of MPA Rana Abdul Rauf. Rao Asif Ijaz, the son of former MPA Rao Ijaz Ali Khan, who came second in the 2008 election against the degree of MPA Rana Abdul Rauf, applied to the university, almost 11 years after the university administration accepted the forgery. Canceled it. Rana Abdul Rauf won the election to the same degree in the 2008 elections, Rana Abdul Rauf has been elected MPA on the PML-N ticket in the 2008, 2013 and 2018 elections, in the 2008 and 2013 elections, the PML-N's government were formed. Due to the term of the PML-N government, the decision of fake degree was not allowed[6]. People of Bahawalnagar reacts that such corrupt person must be punished as per law.
