Ramji Srinivasan

Ramji Srinivasan is the former Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of the India national cricket team[1]. He is the first one who served World Cup-winning Indian cricket team as Strength and Conditioning(S&C) coach[2][3].

Biography

He is the man behind the fitness success of Indian cricket team and several top performing athletes, including Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik, Sharath Kamal, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran.[4] He is also the former strength and conditioning coach of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings.[5]

Early Life

Born in Chennai on the 24th August 1967 to an orthox brahmin family. Born to professor Srinivasan and Radha. He is married to Vidya and has two daughters named Malaveeka and Nayonathara. Both are into classical music and dance.

Did his schooling-Asan Memorial senior secondary school and collage in Loyola , with physics as major. Then went on to study in Australia-resistance training-adelaide and Swiss Ball training from Paul Chek and periodisation technique*- Tudor Bomba institute

Had learning stint at ais, acb and with many clubs/sports scientists/s&c experts/sports physios/pilates experts in Australia during his regular yearly visit.

He was a state and national level sprinter, as 100 mts and long jump as his main events. Which  he was a champion in both the event at the National level. Was considered one of the best in the coutry in his age group.

Currently owns Sports Dynamix sports performance centre in Chennai.[6]
