Rae Bareli is one of five assembly constituencies in the Rae Bareli (Lok Sabha constituency). Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 180 amongst 403 constituencies.
Currently this seat belongs to Indian National Congress candidate Aditi Singh who won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Lagislative Elections defeating Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Shabaj Khan by a margin of more than 90,000 votes.[1]
