Radoslav Rochallyi

Radoslav Rochallyi (born 1 May 1980, Bardejov , Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak philosopher, writer and poet.

Biography

Rochallyi was born in Bardejov, located in the Prešov region of what is today the Slovak Republic. The author finished his studies in Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov (1999–2005) and completed postgraduate PhD studies in pedagogy at the Faculty of Education of the University of Prešov (2005–2009). He worked as a teacher at the Pedagogical Faculty of Prešov University in Prešov.[1]

Writer

Rochallyi is the author of eleven books. He writes in Slovak, English and German. He debuted with the collection of poetry Panoptikum: Haikai no renga (2004), written in Japanese haiku.[2]

Rochally's poetic language is characterized by austerity, minimalism, directivity, and a distinct introspective relationship with the text.[3][4] According to Jan Balaz, the poetry of Radoslav Rochally is characterized by the use of a free verse, which gives the author the necessary freedom and directness to retain the specific nature of the testimony without embellishments.[5]

Poetry based on the golden number – "Golden Ratio Poetry" – was brought to wider public attention by R. Rochallyi on 12 January 2015.[6]

In the year 2018 he won second and third place in the Slovak competition "Price reader 2018" by the Association of Slovak writers for the poetry collection Panoptikum and for the prosaic book Letter to a son.[7]

According to Maria Varga, the book Mythra Invictus with the subtitle Fate of Man is a philosophical poem, indicating that a writer should break away from the earth, be himself, make the most of his human creative potential, be more than human – to be a new man, a future man.[8] Mythra Invictus has received a positive reception.[9] , [10]

Rochallyi has a close relationship to mathematics. In the philosophical essay Mythra Invictus he wroten: "Mathematics requires an active principle, and it is in the mathematical understanding of the world that you can approach perfection."[11]

In the DNA-Canvases of Poetry collection he uses mathematical equations to express his poetry.[12] In addition to his book, poetic equations have also been published in anthologies. [13], [14], [15], and journals[16], [17], [18] According to Lenka Vrebl, the perception of Radoslav Rochallyi is not playful, it is serious, direct and focused. In Golden Divine, he reaches its peak of experimenting with forms of verses and poetry as a whole. In this collection, he tried to link poetry with Fi (φ) and hence the number 1,618034 in non-graphical form and with a golden section in its graphic form.[19]

He described the logical-philosophical analysis of morality and power in the book ESSE.[20]
