Radio Rock is a Finnish rock music radio station, owned by Nelonen Media, a part of the media group Sanoma.

Radio Rock's broadcasting began on January 1, 2007, at 0.00, with the official spoken programs beginning on January 15, 2007. The first song that the station played was Metallica - Master of Puppets. Radio Rock's hosts are mostly former Radio City and YleX personnel, like, for example, Klaus Flaming, Jussi Heikelä, Aki Linnanahde and Jone Nikula. Radio Rock's official mascot in its commercials is called "rockrooster."

Radio Rock began its broadcast on the Internet on July 2, 2007.

Programs

Radio Rock's most popular program is called "Corporation" (formerly known as "Heikelä-Linnanahde Corporation" and then "Heikelä Corporation"), which is broadcast on weekdays from 6.00 to 11.00. The Corporation's hosts are Kim Sainio and Harri Moisio. The program focuses on speaking and studio guests.

The Dayshift of Rock is broadcast between 11.00 - 15.00 and its host is Jone Nikula. Usually, the program includes "three's straight", where listeners can win different prizes whenever they spot three consecutive songs without speeches in the middle.

The Afternoon of Rock's broadcasting time is 15.00 - 18.00, and its compère is Marce Rendic. There is also a DJ-guest. People can vote on "Rock" or "Rubbish" on newly released songs.

The Evening of New Rock is hosted by Laura Vähähyyppä from 19.00-20.00

The weekday's last program is hosted "Klaus' Quartal" by Klaus Flaming, between 20.00 - 21.00. Flaming's playlist consists of songs from 1969-1994. The program airs first on previous Sundays from 14.00-18.00, and is the repeated Monday-Thursday.

Weekends see Laura and Jussi 69 in the studio.
