Political career
Kost began his political career when he defeated incumbent R. Ray Peterson for the 19th District seat with 53.80% of the vote.[1] He serves on the Agriculture, State and Public Lands & Water Resources, Judiciary, School Facilities, and Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision committees.[2]
