Rüti bei Riggisberg has an area of 22.2 km² (8.6 sq mi). Of this area, 32.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 64.3% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 2.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.5%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).[2]
