Pseudopolydesmus

Pseudopolydesmus is a genus of flat-backed millipedes in the family Polydesmidae. There were previously at least 12 described species in Pseudopolydesmus.[1][2][3][4]. However, a review published in 2019 which used scanning electron microscopy and ultraviolet fluorescence to produce detailed images of specimens recognised only eight species.[5] According to this revision, the species names Pseudopolydesmus euthetus and Pseudopolydesmus neoterus were placed as junior subjective synonyms of Pseudopolydesmus minor, and Pseudopolydesmus natchitoches and Pseudopolydesmus paroicus were placed as junior subjective synonyms of Pseudopolydesmus pinetorum.[5]
