Properigea mephisto
Properigea mephisto is a species of cutworm or dart moth in the family Noctuidae.[1][2][3][4] It is found in North America[2], where it has been recorded from Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ontario and Wisconsin.

The wingspan is 26-28 mm. The forewings are cream, sprinkled with reddish and brown scales. The hindwings are whitish, becoming progressively fuscous distally, and with dirty white fringes.[5]
