Profanity (instant messaging client)

Profanity is a text mode instant messaging interface that supports the XMPP protocol[1] which will run on Linux, OS X and Windows using Cygwin.

Packages are available in Debian[2], Ubuntu[3] and Arch[4] Linux distributions.
