Prism Studios is a Northern Irish video game developer founded in 2016, made up of eight fans of the Portal series.

History

On 25 June 2015, Prism Studios released Portal Stories: Mel, a stand-alone total conversion modification for Valve's Portal 2. The modification was well received among fans and critics, with a 95% positive rating on Steam[1] and winning "Best Fan Creation" at The Game Awards 2015.[2] Portal Stories: VR, a virtual reality modification of Portal 2, was released on 16 May 2016, and is a small campaign designed for the room-scale VR that SteamVR offers.[3]

On 5 August 2016, Prism Studios switched from being a mod team to being a standalone game development company.[4]
