Prism (surveying)

In surveying, a prism is a corner cube or retroreflector, normally attached on a surveying pole, used as a target for distance measurement using, for example, a total station.

A typical prism with back target. Used with survey and 3D point monitoring systems to measure changes in elevation and position of a point.
