Prakash Neupane

Prakash Neupane (Nepali: प्रकाश न्यौपाने; born 25 March 1997) is a Nepalese rapper, singer, songwriter, music composer, and poet.[1][2] As of May 2020, he has released more than 40 songs.[3][4] He appeared on the television shows at Artist Chat Nepal Television and Nephop Show Radio Kantipur.

Early life

Prakash Neupane was born in Kohalpur, Banke. After completing his School level course, he shifted to Kathmandu. He started singing at the age of sixteen. He did his plus two studies from Morgan International College, Kathmandu.[5]

Musical career

Neupane started his musical career by recording his debut song Aaideuna.[6] His popular songs include U Got Me, Aaideuna, Sunana and Lagchha maya timro.[7] He has released three albums: Prakash Tunes, Fusion, and The Rise.[8] He has won one National poem competition and one National music award. He was also nominated for Os Nepal Music Award for the best pop singer. He was inspired by Nepali rapper "Girish Khatiwada" and featured him in the song called "U Got Me" which has crossed a million views. He is currently engaged in "Ness Studio". He has done his international collaboration with United States based rapper Delon & Dubai based international producer Hesh.[9][10][11]

In February 2020, Neupane released a new song Satta in YouTube.[12] He started his career with love songs but later his music is more socio-political in nature.[13] Bang Bang by Neupane, is a political rap song about Nepal's civil war, the local political system and country's slow economic progress.[14]
