Port Townsend First Baptist Church
The Port Townsend First Baptist Church is a church in Port Townsend, Washington.
History
Port Townsend First Baptist Church was originally built in 1891 on the corner of Lawrence and Fillmore Street.
In 1941, First Baptist Church underwent a major renovation moving the changing the entrance to the church from Lawrence street to Fillmore street.[1] This renovation also added a basement, two Sunday school classes and a baptismal.
Historical significance
Port Townsend First Baptist Church is one of four historic churches in the national historic district of Port Townsend.[2] Other historic churches include Trinity United Methodist, Port Townsend First Presbyterian Church and St Paul's Episcopal Church
