Pavilion Books Group specialises in illustrated and non-fiction books. Its authors include James May, Cath Kidston, Millie Marotta, Oz Clarke, Ben Lebus, Gennaro Contaldo, Asma Khan, Jules Hudson, Stacie Swift, Niklas Ekstedt and Paul Smith. Pavilion co-publishes with organisations such as Mob Kitchen, National Trust, Good Housekeeping and the 20th Century Society.
Background
The company traces its history as an independent publisher to 2005 when Chrysalis Books Group was acquired as a management buy-out by Robin Wood, Polly Powell and David Proffit from the Chrysalis Group. Chrysalis Books Group took the name Anova Books to avoid confusion with its former holding company, Chrysalis Group. In 2014 Anova Books was renamed Pavilion Books. It has since acquired and created several other imprints, such as Pitkin Press in 2016. The company's owner is Polly Powell. The Managing Director is David Graham. Directors are Polly Powell, David Graham, Vaughan Grylls (chair), Zana Hanks and Ed Hoare.

- Batsford, founded as B.T Batsford in 1843, by Bradley Thomas Batsford.[2] A prominent chairman of the firm was Brian Batsford from 1952 until 1974. It publishes books in various specialty categories such as applied arts, bridge, chess, horticulture and industrial archaeology. An example of current publications are Millie Marotta's colouring books which have sold in excess of 5 million copies world-wide.(amazon.com) This imprint also organises the Batsford Prize in conjunction with Cassart. The prize is an annual student award open to national and international undergraduate and postgraduate students of fine and applied art, fashion and illustration. There are five categories for entrants: Fine Art, Applied Arts, Fashion, Illustration and Children's Illustration.(www.cassart.co.uk)
- Collins & Brown, founded in 1989 to focus on non-fiction publishing.
- National Trust Books, founded in 2005 to target National Trust members and others interested in gardening, cooking, and similar topics.
- Pavilion Books, founded in 1981 to focus on cookery, lifestyle, photography, art. The imprint features the Then and Now series of books on famous cities and places worldwide, especially those in the United States e.g. "New York Then and Now". In 2019, the cookbook "Sight, Smell, Touch, Taste, Sound" by Sybil Kapoor won the Fortnum & Mason Cookery Book of The Year. (www.fortnumandmason.com)

- Pitkin, founded c1953 and publishing works on English cathedrals and other places of historic and cultural interest. Pitkin Publishing was bought from The History Press in 2017.
