Paula Escobar

Paula Escobar Chavarría (born 1967/1968 (age 51–52))[1] is a Chilean magazine editor, columnist, journalist, professor and writer. She is a recipient of the Lenka Franulic Award.

Education

Escobar studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where she is now a professor.[2]

Career

Since 2001, Escobar is magazines editor for El Mercurio, "Chile's most important newspaper where she oversees six weekly publications".[3][4]

In 2006, she was chosen as one of the 100 women leaders from Chile and named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.[4]

Escobar writes for the Washington Post and the Huffington Post.[3] In 2015, she was listed as one of BBC's 100 Women.[1]
