Career

Karvelas has presented Radio National's program RN Drive since January 2015 and national affairs television program on the ABC News 24 channel.[2]

She previously worked for The Australian newspaper, covering federal politics,[3] and Karvelas, a weekly program on Sky News Australia.[4] While at the Australian, Karvelas authored a series of six articles[3] relating to a tweet made by Aboriginal Australian legal academic and writer Larissa Behrendt, which Ms Behrendt has described as a character assassination.[5]

Since April 2016, Karvelas has cohosted political podcast The Party Room.[6] In 2018, she was announced as host of interview-based national affairs program National Wrap.[7]

Karvelas spoke at Womadelaide in 2019.[2]

Personal life

Karvelas is Greek-Australian, her parents originate from the Peloponnese region of Greece.[8]
