Pat Hooper

Patrick ("Pat") Hooper (born 12 May 1952) is an Olympian and former long-distance runner from Raheny, Dublin, Ireland. He has represented Ireland in the marathon at European and Olympic level. His marathon personal best time is 2:17:46.[1] He is the older brother of three-time Olympian and marathoner Dick Hooper.[2] In 2016, he recommended participation in athletic clubs as, "comradeship and friendship [...] will gain more knowledge about the sport from your club mates than you will ever read in a coaching book."[3]
