Ollie Locke

Oliver Locke is a British actor and television personality known for appearing in E4's constructed reality series Made in Chelsea. His mother is former BBC Radio Solent DJ Sarah Locke.[1]

Locke grew up in Southampton, where he attended Embley Park School,[2] a boarding school in Romsey, Hampshire where he shared a dorm with Game Of Thrones actor Alfie Allen.[3] He moved to Sibford School for sixth form, before leaving to do a year's foundation course at The Cambridge School Of Visual and Performing Arts.[2] Locke then moved to Cirencester where he joined a property degree course at the Royal Agricultural College,[2] before leaving after a year and moving to London in 2006, where he worked for an independent magazine in Chelsea.[4]

Career

Whilst on Made in Chelsea, Locke came out as bisexual, and then later came out as gay.[5] At about the same time he wrote a book called Laid in Chelsea,[6] which spent eight weeks at number 3 of The Sunday Times Best Seller list.

In January 2014, Locke became a housemate in the thirteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother. He finished in third place behind Dappy and winner Jim Davidson.

Locke has been seen on such shows as Celebrity Juice, Alan Carr's Chatty Man, The Jonathan Ross Show, Britain's Got More Talent, The Xtra Factor, Do The Dishes, the twelfth series of 8 Out of 10 Cats[7] and the second series of Fake Reaction.[8]

Locke presented a one-off Valentine's Day special episode of Love Fix for ITV2 where he interviewed the public about sex, love and romance. Notably, Locke hosted an online show with BBC Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney called The Fox Problem where they interviewed the likes of Mel C, Paloma Faith and Richard Branson.

Locke left Made in Chelsea for four seasons, in 2013 then made his return in 2015 for the end of its LA series, and is now a regular cast member again.

Locke has taken part in Channel 4's Stand Up To Cancer show The Island with Bear Grylls alongside comedian Dom Joly, Scottish rugby player Thom Evans and JLS singer Aston Merrygold.

In 2016 Locke and his co-founders Jack Rogers and Maxim Cheremkhin founded the gay dating app Chappy.[9]

It was confirmed on 20 November 2017 that Locke would take part in the E4 reality dating show Celebs Go Dating in 2018.[10]

In 2018, Locke landed his first Hollywood film. Directed by Michael Winterbottom, Greed follows the life of a billionaire retail magnate whose wife doesn't understand him.[11]

On 6 January 2018, Locke took part in And They're Off! for BBC One, where he came third.
