Nikhil Siddharth

Nikhil Siddhartha (born 1 June 1985) is an actor in the Telugu film industry. After playing minor roles in few films, Nikhil rose to fame with Sekhar Kammula's college drama Happy Days (2007). He went on to star in several critically and commercially acclaimed films such as Yuvatha (2008), Alasyam Amrutham (2010), Veedu Theda (2011) Swamy Ra Ra (2013), Karthikeya (2014), Surya vs Surya (2015), Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (2016), Keshava (2017), Kirrak Party (2018) and Arjun Suravaram (2019).

Early life

Nikhil was born at Begumpet, Hyderabad. Nikhil did his schooling in Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet . He studied at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology.[1]

Career

He started out as an assistant director for the film Hyderabad Nawaabs. He had minor roles in various movies before doing Happy Days, the first movie in Tollywood with an overseas release date earlier than the Indian release. Directed by an Indian national award winner Sekhar Kammula, Nikhil plays one of the 4 male leads in the movie.[2] Happy Days was one among the few low budget movies made in 2007 that became commercially successful. His first solo lead movie was Ankit, Pallavi & Friends w. He appeared in movies like Yuvatha and Veedu Theda[3] Which established him as a Solo Hero and got his major breakthrough in 2013 with Swamy Ra RaWhich went on to be listed as the top 10 Telugu movies of the decade 2010-2020 . His next movie, titled Karthikeya, (October 2014) earned him brilliant reviews from critics and was a smash hit at the Box Office. He extended his Success streak with films like Surya Vs Surya and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada which grossed 38 crores at the Box Office and stood as his biggest earner.

In 2017 Nikhil once again teamed up with Swamy Ra Ra Director Sudheer Varma for Keshava which is a revenge drama where Nikhil plays the character facing an issue of having heart on right side and a rare problem to it Film released on 19 May 2017 which got positive reviews for Nikhil's performance, musical score, visuals and backdrop of the plot.

Nikhil Siddharth's next movie Kirrak Party, a remake of Kannada Kirik Party opposite Samyuktha Hegde and Simran Pareenja, was a college campus film directed by Sharan Koppisetty. The movie under performed at the box-office. The movie's screenplay was written by Sudheer Varma and Dialogues by Chandoo Mondeti.[4][5][6] His Latest Movie Arjun Suravaram which released in 2019 turned out to be a Huge Success at the Box office standing as one of the top ten Tollywood Hits of 2019.

Personal Life

He got married to Pallavi Varma on 14 May 2020.[7]
