Neptune (1836 ship)
Neptune was a 477-ton merchant ship built at Chepstow, Wales in 1836. She made one voyage transporting convicts from Ireland to Australia.

Design
Neptune was built at Chepstow, Wales in 1836. She was length 104’, breadth 24.6’, depth 20’. She consisted of one main deck and a poop deck, 3 masts, ship rig, square stern, quarter galleries and had a male bust head.
Career
On her only convict voyage, under the command of Joseph Nagle and surgeon Patrick Martyn, she departed Dublin, Ireland on 27 August 1837, with 200 male convicts. She arrived in Sydney on 2 January 1838. There were three convict deaths en route.
She is last listed in 1845, at 386 tons on a voyage from Liverpool to Bombay.
