Neela Satyanarayanan

Neela Satyanarayanan is a retired IAS officer who was appointed as the first woman State Election Commissioner (SEC) of Maharashtra. In the past, she held prominent positions in the fields of revenue, home, forest, social, information and publicity, medical, rural development and other departments of the government. Apart from this, she has made notable achievements in music and literature.[1]

Neela Satyanarayanan has penned 150 songs and composed music for several Marathi movies and two Bollywood movies.[2]

She is a recipient of several awards in the fields of literature and culture.[3]
