Natali Thanou

Natali Thanou (Greek: Νάταλι Θάνου, romanized: Nátali Thánou; Serbian: Натали Тану, romanized: Natali Tanu) is a Greek-Serbian model and singer.

Biography

She was born Natalija Šošo (Наталија Шошo) in Belgrade, Serbia in 1989. Raised in Belgrade,[1][2] she attended music school. Since 2005, she has lived in Athens, Greece where she was part of a music and dance group.

She began her modeling career when she was 16 years old. In June 2007, she was the Greek "Playmate of the Year 2007".[2][3]

After the release of her first single "Why Not", she became known for the song, a club hit all over Greece. Her single with Serbian Ami G, "Summer Night", has become a hit in Greece. The song was released in both Serbian (Kiša je padala, Киша је падала) and Greek (Nixta kalokairini). In 2009, she had a summer tour in Greece with 40 concerts. She competed in the Beovizija for the Serbian Eurovision Song Contest 2010 entry in Oslo.[4]

In April 2014, Thanou released a new swimwear brand, "Deep Sea". In 2019, she submitted her song "All Again" to ERT in order to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 but it was declined.[5][2]

She is married to businessman Dimitris Karelas, with whom she has a son.[6][2]
