History

Over the years, several companies and entrepreneurs have come together to form today's Nagarro. The name comes from a company founded in 1996.

In 2011, Nagarro was acquired[3] by Allgeier SE, a Germany-based IT company. In 2014, Softcon, an Allgeier company already a part of the Nagarro division, changed its name to Nagarro and integrated wholly.[4] Also in 2014, Hexa Business Services merged with Nagarro in Austria.[5] In 2016, Conduct AS, an Oslo-based consulting company, merged with Nagarro to become Nagarro in Norway.[6] In December 2016, Nagarro acquired Silicon Valley-based mobile design and strategy company, Mokriya.[7] Later acquisitions include Austria-based test automation and consulting company, Anecon, in 2018[8] and Dubai-based Farabi Technology Middle East LLC, in 2019.[9]

On November 5, 2019, Allgeier SE announced that its Management Board has decided to spin-off and independently list its global technology and software development business.[10] The new business unit will have Nagarro as its core and adopt Nagarro's entrepreneurial organizational model.[11] In addition to Nagarro, the new entity shall also consist of other Allgeier businesses such as iQuest, operating in Romania, Switzerland, Germany and Poland; Objectiva, operating in the US and China; and the SAP business of Allgeier Enterprise Services, operating in Germany, France and Denmark.[12]
