Nadezhda Tokayeva

Nadezhda Davydovna Tokayeva (Russian: Надежда Давыдовна Токаева, born 1957, in the Soviet Union) was the wife of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,[1] being the current President of Kazakhstan. She is a graduate of the Moscow State Institute for History and Archives. Together with her husband, she has a son, Timur (born 1984).[2][3][4] She assumed this role in March 2019 when her predecessor's husband, Nursultan Nazarbayev, resigned after 29 years in power.[5]

She is divorced from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.[6]

She was the honorary president of the United Nations Women's Guild in Geneva in 2011-2012.[7]
