N. B. Clemmensen

N. B. Clemmensen, later N. B. Clemmensens Eftf. A/S, was a tobacco company founded in 1830 in Nakskov on Lolland in southeastern Denmark. It was from 1939 based at Classensgade 71 in Copenhagen.

History

N. B. Clemmensen's Tobacco Factory was established by N. B. Clemmensen (1790-1866) from Svendborg in 1830. It was located in Søndergade and was the town's first tobacco factory[1]

The company was in 1908 converted into a limited company. On 1 January 1939, N. B. Clemmensen moved to mew premises at Classensgade 71 in Copenhage. J. H. Thage was in 1950 CEO of the company while Børge Braun was chairman pof the board.[2]

B. B. Clemmensen brands included Austin Flake tobacco.[3]
