Muscat FC

Muscat FC is a Liberian football club based in Paynesville. It has established itself as one of the best football clubs since its founding on March 16, 2008 in Du-Port Road, Paynesville. Our teams have been successful in 3rd division leagues organized by the Liberia Football Association in Monrovia and other regions in Liberia. Through the efforts of our officials, players and coaching staff, we were able to clinch the 2nd Runner-up trophy in the 2012–13 Liberia football Association 3rd division play-offs thus promoting MUSCAT FC as a Second Division Team in Liberia.

Muscat FC has positively engage young people in Liberia by being committed to support their game and encourage education for all through sports (football). Ninety-five (95%) of our players are high school graduates and pursuing higher education with the support of administrative staffs. MUSCAT FC developmental goals are to better each player's physical and mental skills; to understand the importance of being a team-player and encourage them to remain in school to have a future after their time of playing soccer. The club regain promotion to the 2nd League in 2018 where it was unbeated and crowned champions of the 3rd Division League. The club played in the 2019 season the next year ending six(6) place behind Nimba Kwado, a position that place us into a playoff on a home and away basis. Nimba Kwado subsequently qualified thus making their way to the first league.

Club History

Fourth (4th) Division

The club played in the 4th division league for three season as Pelima FC, from 2008–2010 in the Paynesville sub-committee league. After splendid performance from the club, we got promoted to the third division league in 2010.

Third (3rd) Division

Muscat FC Liberia continue its splendid performance in the third division league (St. Paul bridge sub-committee) for three seasons and got promoted to the second division in 2013 for the first time . The team played nineteen (19) league games, winning 16, drawing 2 and lost 1 to the champion team of Lofa. Second (2nd) Division

Muscat FC played in the second division league in 2014 successfully in the first phase, earning the second spot on the league table. During the second phase, Muscat was unjustly deducted six points for what the FA termed as "fielding an illegal player" thereby awarding the points to Gardnesville FC; our appeal which has never been heard to date. At the end of the league season (2014), Muscat FC was relegated to the third division league.
