Musée-Placard d'Erik Satie

The Musée-Placard d'Erik Satie (Cupboard Museum of Erik Satie) was a small museum dedicated to composer Erik Satie (18661925). It was located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris at 6, rue Cortot, Paris, France.

The "cupboard" museum consisted of a tiny room that Satie occupied from 18901898, during which time he wrote pieces including Gnossiennes, Pièces froides, and Sonneries de la Rose+Croix. It was not an exact reconstruction, but contained articles that belonged to Satie, especially drawings and portraits, as well as a gift from artist Man Ray (an iron bristling with nails).

The museum closed in 2008.
