Murder of Carlos Palomino

Carlos Javier Palomino Muñoz, an anti-fascist, was murdered in Madrid, Spain on 11 November 2007. He, aged 16, was campaigning to counter against a fascist rally. The murder occurred at Legazpi Station, where he was stabbed to death.[1]

Josué Estébanez de la Hija, the murderer, is a neo-Nazi who originated from the Basque Country and was a soldier. He received a 23-year prison sentence.[2]

Neo-Nazis and neo-fascists in other countries glorify Josué Estébanez's murder of Carlos Javier Palomino Muñoz, including Daily Stormer founder Andrew Anglin of the United States, the Nordic Resistance Movement (NRM) of Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland) and Brenton Harrison Tarrant, the Australia-born perpetrator of the Christchurch mosque shootings at Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand which killed 51 people and injured 49 more. Tarrant also drew Estebanez's name onto one of his magazines used in the shooting.[2]
