Mullakkara Ratnakaran

Mullakkara Ratnakaran (born 1955) is an Indian politician and a State Secretariat Member of Communist Party of India (CPI).He is a Member in 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly.He represents the Chadayamangalam constituency in Kollam district.[1] He was the Minister of Agriculture in the 12th legislative assembly Government of Kerala.

Career

Born in 1955 to Purushothaman and Sulochana at Mullakkara, in Kollam district, Ratnakaran became a member in Communist Party of India in 1978. He has served as All India Youth Federation (AIYF) State President and Secretary. During his political career, Ratnakaran went to jail several times in connection with agitations, including "Job or Jail" strike.[2]

Personal life

Ratnakaran is the son of Purushothaman and Sulochana. He was born at Mullakkara, Kollam on 9 May 1954. He lives at Kottarakkara, Kollam.[3]
