The Artful Dodger version of the track was first distributed as a white label vinyl release.[1] After it was picked up by DJs it was assigned to Locked On for mainstream distribution.[1] Artful Dodger did not receive a share of the publishing for the track, nor a remix fee.[1]

The original Romina Johnson single release peaked at No. 187 on the UK Singles Chart in 1999,. The Artful Dodger release of the following year went to No. 2 on the same chart. It also reached number one on the UK Dance chart and remained on the Indie charts for two weeks. The song has gone Gold in the United Kingdom for sales exceeding 400,000 copies.
